Promotions are often a great way to drive traffic and average basket size.
Promotion Configurations
Type 1: Standard
Examples:
20% off on all SKUs
20% off on all SKUs for the first 10 carts
20% off on all SKUs, with a limit of 500$ for the promo id. Once 500$ has been given off in discounts, no other carts will have a discount applied.
10% off on a specific SKU
10% off on a SKU, with a limit of 10 carts. Once this promo has been applied for 10 carts, no other cart will have the promo applied.
10% off on a SKU, till 10-10-2020. After 10-10-2020, this promo will no longer be applied on a cart.
| Note: BIN numbers change when a shopper uses a mobile wallet, like Apple or Google Pay. For promotions that rely on BIN numbers, the store signage should request the shopper use the physical card (chip or tap) to receive the discount. Mobile wallet users will not receive the discount if the promotion is reliant upon the shopper having an eligible BIN number. |
Type 2: Advanced
Examples:

Season ticket holder promo: $1 off everything except category:alcohol.
Employee discount: 50% off everything except category:alcohol.
Employee discount: 50% off everything except category:alcohol, until an overall limit of 100$ is reached for that customer
Employee discount: 50% off everything except category:alcohol, until the first 10 carts shopped by the customer
50% off everything except COKE sku and FANTA sku
100% discount on POPCORN (sku), if it has been bought with any other item only
100% discount on the first POPCORN (sku), if it has been bought with any other item only
50% discount on the first 2 POPCORNs (sku) bought by a customer
50% discount on the first 2 POPCORNs (sku) bought by a customer, until a total of 100$ has been given away with this promo.
Combo set promo:
Single combo set
Flat price - If a customer buys two items from the combo set, apply a flat price. For example, if a customer buys any two soft drinks, set the flat price at $12.
Flat discount amount - If a customer buys two items from the combo set, apply a discount. For example, if a customer buys any two soft drinks, apply a $10 discount.
Percentage discount - If a customer buys two items from the combo set, apply a discount. For example, if a customer buys any two soft drinks, apply a 10% discount.
Multiple combo set
Flat price - If a customer buys one item from each combo set, apply a flat price. For example, if a customer buys one drink and one snack, set the flat price at $12. Example 2, if a customer buys one drink, one snack and one fruits, set the flat price at $12.
