The Promotions feature enables retailers to self-manage promotions.
The Promotions feature is released to a venue's dashboard upon request. Retailers can email support@getzippin.com to request the menu be added to the Configurations menu of their existing dashboard(s).
Current supported promotions:
- Percentage off all or select SKUs / categories*
- Fixed amount off all or select SKUs / categories*
-
Replace SKUs before sending for billing - this type of promotion would enable a happy hour promotion. A happy hour SKU would also need to be created.
Note: 1 and 2 are applicable for only cases when Zippin computes the order totals. If a third party computes the order totals (ex. Venue next), these promotions cannot be configured.
Create a new promotion
- From the Configurations < Promotions menu, select create
- Enter a promotion name for example "happy hour promotion"
- Select the start & end dates and the applicable store(s).
4. Select a type. The types reflect the supported promotions listed above (percentage, fixed amount, or replace SKU)
5. Following the type selection, new fields will populate.
- For promo type "Replace SKU", enter the replacement SKU details.
- For promo type "percentage" & "fixed", enter the percentage or fixed amount. Then select the applicable apply to drop down option.
|
A combination promotion requires a combination of SKUs or categories of SKUs to be purchased to receive the discount. Users can set up a combination promotion for type fixed and percentage discounts. Select add combo for each requirement of the promotion.
|
- Selecting "Apply to< Specific Banks" will populate the drop down named "Bank Name." Currently Capital One and Chase Bank is supported to apply promotions to shoppers paying with these card types.
- Bank-specific promotions can now be applied along with SKU-based discounts, allowing multiple promotions to be applied to a single order. Note, this is currently the only scenario when multiple promotion types will apply to a single order.
6. Indicate if the promotion should be stackable with other promotions.
7. Select save.
From the Promotions menu, users can also:
- Export the promotions data
- Copy a promotion (select the three dots to the right of the promotion details)
- Edit a promotion (select the three dots to the right of the promotion details)
- Sort each column by selecting the field name
- View an audit log to see a record of user activity
